Our maintenance shop located in Baldwinsville, NY is 30,000 square feet and serves as the companies largest shop.  We currently employ forty technicians to handle preventative maintenance, inspections, major engine rebuilding, tires and alignments, bodywork and parts distribution to name a few.  We also have a staff that handles all road breakdowns 24/7 to insure the drivers downtime is minimal.  We have several other facilities with shops that are fully equipped to handle whatever situation may arise. You can find shops at the following terminals; DeMotte, IN; Savannah, GA; Carrollton, KY; Aliquippa, PA; Shadyside, OH; Danville, VA; Shoals, IN; and Georgetown, SC.  We are always looking for qualified technicians to join the Gypsum Team so APPLY NOW!

Inside Baldwinsville Maintenance Shop

Technician Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are for but not limited to all equipment, tractors, trailers and shop equipment operated by Gypsum Express Ltd. or any of its affiliated companies requesting inspection or repair.  Experience in tractor or trailer repair, high schoool degree or equivalent, NYS Inspection license preferred, CDL license required, brake certification.  Must maintain and pratice mechanical repairs with proficiency for all types of engine, transmissions and driveline.  Maintain a high level of performance skills in vehicle preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, air conditioning systems, vehicle computer electronics, suspensions, brake systems, tires, wheels and hubs.  Must perform service calls for emergency breakdowns as required.  Repair all systems in a compliant manner as decscribed in DOT regulations.  Must have hand tools and air tools necessary to complete the above tasks.  Communicate and interact effectively with drivers and Management.  Valid clear drivers license and drug screen is required.


A Class – Five years experience and CDL required

B Class – Three years experience and CDL preferred

C Class – Two years experience and CDL preferred

Apprentice – Desire to gain knowlege in the field
